About

Ken Tannenbaum

finnoybu.com is where I keep my work in one place. The orbit on the front page is the map; this is the note behind it.

I'm a software engineer. Alongside that I write, I publish, and I keep a handful of projects running across a few unrelated fields — AI governance, historical fiction, digital forensics, and a small publishing imprint among them. Some are professional and some are personal; a few were built quietly for specific people.

What ties them together isn't a single subject. It's a way of working: take something that matters, build it properly, and see it through.

The name

"Finnoybu" comes from Finnøy, an island in the Stavanger channel on the southwestern coast of Norway, where my family's story begins. The name carries through the fiction, the family memoir, and the imprint, so it names the personal site too.

Each project on the front page links out to its own home. To reach me directly, see the Contact page.
